James Time Report

As many of you know, I’ve been using my cat’s demand for routine to establish a Reading Time With The Boy habit for myself. I open up just as many books as I always open, but I finish them more often because otherwise James screams at me, even though he cannot read and does not care to be read to.

Reading at a decent pace, but will not reveal the total count for fear of jinxing myself later. A few stand outs (True Deceiver, Coming into the Country, Shortest Way to Hades, Family Lexicon); a few “interesting but not my speed” (Something that May Shock and Discredit You, Please Miss; yes I know they’re married); a few hateables (for lent I’m giving up being a hater); however I just finished a book that’s been described as one that “seems to be written by someone from another planet, or better from an alternate universe, a Bizarro World whose subtle yet profound difference from ours is the result of some quantum bifurcation” (shout out to Steven Shaviro) kldasfhggh that it’s causing me some stress hypothetical philosophizing… I don’t think it’d make sense to stress philosophize here (from experience, it’s never coherent or meaningful) but I do like this guy’s blog.
